Description of the event

RezMela island has small application called apps, which can be

manipulated to create scenes by anyone without the building or

coding knowledge.

The presenter demonstrated how the apps can be made to upload,

create, save, and even share the scenes. After the demonstration,

the participants were given the opportunity to explore the apps.

Connection with the Presenter and/or Participants

There were two types of participants, those who were on land (SL)

and those who were not on land (Zoom and Facebook), there

where even those who can be in the three at the same time.

Due to some technicality, I was not able to connect directly with

the presenter but with other participants through zoom chat, and

our questions and the presenters answers were passed on

between different platforms through the event organiser.

Questions During the Event

During the presentation, I was asking myself of how I could make

the apps to be suitable to the environment of my learners. I believe

that for learning to be effective, the learning environment must not

be too different from what the learners are used to.

How the content relates to me as a learner and a teacher 

I was really impressed by the fact that to create the scenes, there is

no need for building and coding background. As a result, I can

modify of build scene that suits my personal situation. 

How I Felt During the Presentation

I am over the moon about this world and I feel I cannot wait to visit

the island.

The Challenge in The Implementation

I think the main challenge is for me to learn the basic manipulations

in virtual worlds. I am being encouraged by other participants to get

inland and learn by doing, learn from my mistakes. 

Step to be taken to resolve the challenge

I need to share what I learned with people around me and develop

a local network to assist each other. 

What I would like to do in the future as a result of

this event

I would like to learn the basic features of virtual worlds and to learn

from within.

What I would like to research as a result of the event

As I have mentioned earlier, I  need to improve my skills

in controlling the movements of the avatar and do some

research on survival skills in virtual worlds.
